The drawing interpreter wants to give the electrical industry a wow experience with AI
Drawing Interpreter is exhibiting at Elmässan and bringing its unique AI solution. We had a chat with CEO Fredrik Rikelius.
Drawing Interpreter is an AI-powered SaaS platform that automates symbol counting and length measurement on electrical drawings. The technology allows calculators to avoid repetitive work and instead focus on quality assurance and optimization.
– Right now we are in an intensive launch phase. We are running pilots with several leading installation companies, developing features based on user feedback and preparing for our broad market introduction this fall, says Fredrik Rikelius, CEO of Ritningstolken.
A unique meeting place
He sees the electricity fair as an obvious place to be.
– The electricity fair is unique because it brings together the entire industry in one place. For us, it is a chance to show what the future of electricity generation looks like, but also to listen to customer needs and build long-term relationships.
From drawing to report in minutes
At the booth, visitors will be able to try out the Drawing Interpreter in real time.
– You just upload a drawing and get automatic quantities and reports in a few minutes. The system identifies symbols, measures cabling and compiles the results directly. We will also show new functionality, for example how fixture lists can be linked directly to the quantity list, says Rikelius.
AI that frees up time and increases precision
For the electricity industry, AI can be an important force for change.
– AI can free up a huge amount of time in the calculation work in a short time, but also contribute to increased precision and reduced risk of errors. Material orders become more accurate and projects can be planned more efficiently. In addition, younger employees can more quickly enter the role of calculators, because the system guides and relieves the load, explains Rikelius.
When Fredrik looks ahead, he sees a clear development.
– I am convinced that AI will soon be a natural part of quantity take-off, calculation, design and purchasing. Companies that take the step early will gain a clear competitive advantage – both in efficiency and profitability. The drawing interpreter is just the beginning of that journey.
Specialized tool for calculators
The drawing interpreter is different from many other digital tools.
– Our focus is on being extremely specialized. We build for calculators and project managers, with their everyday lives at the center. We combine advanced computer vision technology with simplicity in the user experience. And because every correction from the user improves the model through reinforcement learning, the system gets smarter every day, he says.
Looking forward to meetings at Elmässan
Just like many other exhibitors, Fredrik is most curious about meeting the industry.
– We look forward to meeting the industry face to face and seeing the reactions when visitors try out the Drawing Interpreter. It's always fun to see how impressed people are when something that previously took hours now takes just a few minutes.
In conclusion, Fredrik would like to send an invitation:
– Come by our booth! Bring a PDF drawing and test for yourself how quickly and easily it can be interpreted using AI. We promise a real wow experience.
