Takeoffs Reinvented

AI that automates symbol counting and length measurement from drawings. Save time, reduce errors, and get fast, accurate estimates.

Development requires change.

A clear goal

When we started building Ritningstolken just over a year and a half ago, we had a very clear goal. To make quantity takeoffs faster. Smarter. Less manual. The name made perfect sense at the time. It described exactly what the product did. But fairly early on, we realized something. The vision was bigger than a Swedish product name. What we are building is not just about interpreting drawings. It is about changing how estimates are created. Now we are taking the next step.

Ritningstolken becomes Stiimo.

Stiimo is derived from the word estimate. A name we can grow into. A name that works far beyond Sweden’s borders. This spring we are exhibiting in Helsinki. This summer in London. The ambition is global. The product remains the same. The pace is faster. The perspective is bigger. We have lived with the name Ritningstolken since the start. It has been an important part of our journey. But if you know where you are going, you should not wait too long to take the next step. This is ours. Let’s Stiimo.

Joel's idea was the start

Joel has worked as a calculator in the electrical industry for many years. He knew how time-consuming and monotonous it could be to count symbols and measure cables on drawings. He saw how much time was wasted on manual work – time that should instead be spent creating value in the projects.
The idea for the Drawing Interpreter was born out of frustration over inefficiency. By combining his experience as a calculator with the new power of AI, Joel shaped the vision: to automate quantity takeoff and calculation work, thereby changing the way an entire industry works.
Together with technical entrepreneurs from Enköping, Joel began developing Ritningstolken – a platform that makes it easy, fast and accurate to interpret drawings.

Ritningstolken becomes Stiimo. We take the next step with improved precision in interpretation and a clear ambition to scale globally.

Be part of shaping the future of Stiimo by developing a platform that transforms how the industry works.

Frequently asked questions

Which industries are supported?

Today, Ritningstolken supports electrical drawings, but we are already working on building support for HVAC drawings as well.

If you work with a different type of drawing and would like us to support your particular area – please contact us. We are developing the Drawing Interpreter together with the installation industry and welcome new collaborations.

How do I get started with Drawing Interpreter?

The drawing interpreter is currently available to invited companies, book a demo to be added to our invitation only list.

How long does it take to interpret a drawing?

Over 90% of all drawings are interpreted in under a minute. On average, an interpretation takes about 40 seconds, but depending on the size of the drawing and system load, the time can vary from a few seconds to about 15 minutes. The system also handles many drawings in parallel, which means that even larger uploads can be processed quickly.

The drawing interpretation is done with AI - do I have any idea about the result?

Our AI models automatically interpret drawings, but as with all AI-based analysis, there is a margin of error. We continuously train and improve our algorithms to increase accuracy, but the ultimate responsibility for reviewing and confirming the results always lies with the user.

How do you secure data?

Our primary servers and AI computations are located in Sweden, where all data is processed according to the highest security standards. For redundancy, we also use an EU-based backup server. The platform is built with secure deployment routines, continuous monitoring and protection against intrusion.

Can you try the product?

Yes. You try Stiimo together with us in a short demo where we show how the tool works on real drawings. After the demo, we help you choose the right setup and onboard you so you can quickly start working in a live environment.
